Dear reader
Until injured on the job at Chedoke Hos and forced onto disability by my employer I worked for HHSC for near 15 yrs. While at Chedoke I spent time as a union rep at the time of the ER. closing. My employer had us out removing hospital signage at midnight the day of closure even befor the last shift had left the ER. In thier haste and through lack of cosultation the end of Hospital status at Chedoke would have resulted in the forfiture of lands back to orignal beifators. The Hospital did a quick turn and back up go the signs. Now the Henderson name change and (surprise ) no consultation with the public or thier representitives. I have been witness to the arogance with wich the administration operates and pose another queestion! Everyone that works at MUMC and the admin that I run into is refering to Mac. as the "Mcmaster Childrens Hospital" do we know for a fact that the status of MUMC has'nt already changed and we have'nt been informed. The hospital has a way of quietly making decisions and then slowly removing services till there is little enough left to fight over. Thus the work done the change has been made and the public never saw it coming. The unions have been the only check over the years to raise red flags. When will the ambudsman of Ontario be given control over this monopoly that so greatly affects our community life and health? These are personal opinions and observations and as such represent or slander no one. No malice intended.
Yours Truly
